Do You Really Need To Insure Your Wedding?
Among the best days of your life is when you get engaged, he bends down on one knee and asks in the old fashioned way, maybe he puts your ring in your desert or perhaps he gets “will you marry me” emblazoned on the sports board at the baseball game.
Once you are engaged the organizing starts, organizing your wedding is hard work. You need to organize loads of different things and do it all inside your budget that you and your future husband put in place. While you are leafing through the stacks of bridal magazines and booklets that vendors give you it is possible to think about nothing but upbeat things.
It is just a distressing detail of life that things do go wrong. Everyone knows we need car insurance, we all have house insurance, sure we pray we do not ever have to use them but we have them because it is better to have them and never use them. Everyone is aware of the enormous cost of cars and homes and when you have to buy a new one of them it is liable going to hurt you, or clean you out, financially.
Take a few minutes to look at all the money you are spending organizing your wedding. How much are you paying for flowers for your big day? What about the Rolls Royce you are renting for the occasion, and even the priest isn’t free.
It can sometimes appear that everybody who gets close to you in the run up to your marriage ceremony requests money. You pay each vendor a deposit and then they want the rest of the money before the actual day and then you trust that the vendors will turn up and do a first-class job.
What happens if your food purveyor gives all your wedding party food poisoning, what if the band leader drops his microphone stand on someone from the stage? No one likes to think of how they could maybe cope with the ensuing court case but the fact of life is should any of these terrible things happen you will dream that you had wedding liability insurance.
No one likes to consider wedding liability insurance but if you are spending thousands of dollars for your big day then surely insuring it makes sense?
