So you just broke up with your girlfriend but you still love her and you want her back. The problem only problem is that your ex girlfriend is now seeing someone else. She is now in a new relationship, what can you do?

Here’s the real deal. Your girlfriend could still be very much in love with you even though she is seeing someone else right now. She could be in a rebound relationship and this dude she’s seeing is the rebound guy. Rebound relationships don’t usually work because it is just something she did to make her forget about you. It’s a filler relationship just to patch the void that she felt when your relationship ended.

Now, before you run to your phone and call up your ex girlfriend, I suggest that you stop and hold off for now. What you should do is to go into “no contact” mode. Be in stealth and avoid contact with her for a few months. Let her get some breather and do not force her to make up with you. She will eventually decide for herself.

This period of no contact counter intuitive but it can benefit you in two ways. One, she will appreciate your maturity in accepting the break up. Two, she will spend more time with the rebound guy and find him flawed compared to you. She will start missing you again. She will start longing for you.

Whether it is your fault or not, a relationship based on love can always be saved. You just need to avoid apologizing profusely, forcing your ex girlfriend to make up with you, to belittle your faults, and begging her to save the relationship. You have to play it calm and cool.

Hence, even if your ex girlfriend is seeing someone else new, you can’t be too sure that she is in a serious relationship. She could be in a rebound relationship. And you have to remember that she entered the rebound relationship because she is still thinking of you.
